So I have two new cameras that have fallen in my lap, how crazy is that? I am super grateful, excited to keep using the Leica, and eager to learn all about the Olympus pen (thank you tumblr!).
That said… and this being fashion, when I peeped Evan Chen’s tumblr post this morning on her new camera chain from Sarah Frances Kuhn, I had to click right over and investigate. So many good options. Can’t wait to hook this up. Functional + fashionable! -RS (Images at Sarah Frances Kuhn)

:o this is amazing.

Haider Ackermann’s Spring 2012 collection strolled down the runway in shades of antiqued gold, sand, peridot, tourmaline and acqua marine. These particular jewel tones were rendered in silk satin and chiffon paired with sharply cut jackets, a leather piece here and there, and a liquid silver accordion pleated gown that closed the show.
Somehow the feeling of this show recalled Ingres’ odalisques to me in the languid air, the color palette, and the shapes of slouchy trousers, draped blouses that ended in scarf edging (or was it a scarf draped into a blouse) and the occasional veiled model. Some of the looks had definite references to safari detailing, and in layer on layer of sand and beige colored fabrics belonged in a romantic desert. -RS (Images via Vogue.it)
Viktor & Rolf’s Spring collection appeared cobbled together by only the continuous thread of whip-stitching on everything. Oversized whip-stitches bordered skirts and blouses, tiers of ruffles on dresses, sleeves, bralettes and just about everything else. There were also a few looks featuring supersized arabesque swirls inset in satin. The deep indigo blue and pale blush colors were welcome, but the red and black combos are looking tired, especially after Fall 2011’s queen of hearts debacle.
The gowns that closed the show are pure over-the-top Viktor & Rolf that hover just on that border between costume and avant-garde fashion. -RS (Images via Vogue.it)
